March 27, 2025, marks Wishlist’s most impactful fundraising event of the year - Wishlist Giving Day!
For 12 hours, the Sunshine Coast community will come together to raise $200,000 to support local public hospitals, enhancing health services for patients and families.
Why give on Wishlist Giving Day?
On Thursday 27 March, donations will be doubled, thanks to the incredible contributions of our matched donors – Protector Aluminium, Sunshine Toyota, Exemplar Health, Habitat, Just Better Care and Heller Foundation.
That means your $50 transforms into $100, and your $100 becomes $200, amplifying your impact and the change you help create.
Did you know that last year’s Wishlist Giving Day helped fund the creation of the Outpatient Hysteroscopy Clinic at Nambour General Hospital?
This new service is giving hundreds of women more convenient care, significantly reducing the time and disruption caused by traditional surgeries under general anaesthetic.
This year, funds raised will go towards the purchase of a Biplane Unit - the first clot retrieval service in our region which will help stroke and brain aneurysm patients - and a Sentimag and Faxitron machine - an essential piece of equipment that will offer local cancer patients less invasive, more effective treatments close to home.

Your generosity will affect lives like Maddi's
The brave face of Wishlist Giving Day this year is five-year-old Maddi, who’s life took an unexpected turn in March last year when a sudden illness, first believed to be a simple virus, became a life-threatening battle with bacterial meningitis and worst nightmare for parents Ben and Kylie.
With Mum and Dad never leaving their daughter’s side, Maddi endured countless tests that no five-year-old should face, including four lumbar punctures, blood work, MRIs, and X-rays.
After six weeks in hospital of fear and uncertainty, Maddi began to recover, giving her family hope.
Whilst follow up tests continue for Maddi, doctors believe that the youngster has been fortunate enough to make a full recovery.
Parents Ben and Kylie are sharing the journey of their resilient daughter Maddi, with the aim to bring hope and inspiration to other families facing similar struggles.
“Without the health teams at SCUH and Brisbane, we wouldn’t have our Maddi with us today. We’re so grateful, and we want to give back to help other families,” Kylie says.
